Do You Want To Know How Monogamy Came To Be?
In the Hebrew Bible, there is a clear distinction between a love relationship and a marriage arrangement. Love relationships are depicted, over all, as the blinding-revealing passion for someone who is the object of the individual’s attention. For...

Give Your Child the Gift of Self-Esteem

The Pet Food Ingredient Game
About 25 years ago I began formulating pet foods at a time when the entire pet food industry seemed quagmire and focused on such things as protein and fat percentages without any real regard for ingredients. Since boot leather and soap could make a...

How to Choose a Repair Shop without Getting Ripped Off
How to choose reliable auto service.
There are always bad apples in any group. Just because a car repair center looks clean and busy doesn’t always mean they are good or ethical. Here are some simple tips to keep from getting ripped off.
Before you even leave your house get suggestions from friends and family about who they use and whether or not they are happy with the service they have had. Then check with the better business bureau.
Communication goes a long ways. Make sure they know exactly what the symptoms of your car problem are. Don’t try to tell them what you think it is. You may find that they fix what you have guessed at and the original problem still exists. Plus if you say fix a symptom and the car still has that symptom then you have a better chance of recourse.
Write down the symptoms of your car problem. Make two copies of this list. Tape one to the steering wheel, mirror or dash where the service tech will not miss it. Give the other to the person at the
counter. Make sure you include your phone number so the tech can get hold of you if he has questions about your car.
Always get an estimate and get your old parts back. This way you can see what was wrong and if your car continues with the same symptoms then you can have them reinstall the old parts and credit your account. Also if you keep an old belt or hose in your trunk it could come in handy if you get stuck somewhere and need one.
Always pay with a credit card because if you feel you have been cheated you can refuse payment and the credit card Company might look into your complaint for you
If they give you any problem just remember to be polite yet firm. It’s your car and your money. Don’t get rude and start yelling and cussing because then they are less likely to want to help you
