Michigan CPS is Out for Blood Again!
The Michigan CPS (Child Protective Services), is up to the old tricks they have been using for a long time to destroy families in Michigan. They must have forgotten that their mandate is supposed to be to save the children, NOT put them in danger!
The basis for this most recent attack by the Michigan CPS is founded in an ex-husband not wanting to pay child support.
I am sure you have all heard it before… Ex-Spouse doesn’t like paying or doing something found to be fair by the court system, so they make false charges to get what they want.
Unfortunately, it then comes down to CPS to sort it out. And from personal experience, I can tell you that they have no clue about what is right or important! My entire contact with them has proven them to be rude and disrespectful even in cases where I have tried to be as civil as possible, despite how they have endangered my three-year-old daughter!

At around 3:00 PM on Friday, August 19th 2005, I received a message on my work voicemail from a man stating that he was a caseworker with CPS. He told me that I was NOT to pick up my daughter at the scheduled 5:30 PM time per the court ordered child custody agreement.
At first, I was dumbfounded. I figured that it must be a cruel joke by one of my ex-husbands friends. However, I immediately called the number back and got a voicemail stating that he WAS from CPS. I freaked out! I called my ex-husband. He VERY uncharacteristically did not answer his phone. (He is unemployed, so he always answers). I called my boyfriend to see what to do. He didn’t know either.
I did finally get a call back from the caseworker. He stated that their had been an allegation against “my household” and that my daughter would be staying with her father for the weekend. That it was too late on Friday to get things sorted out. He would be in contact with me on Monday morning. I even questioned that he was a caseworker because he was very rude
to me and would not answer any questions. I figured that it must be a hoax. No government agency would be PROUD of scaring the hell out of a mother about the safety of her child and not tell her anything! Unfortunately, I called the main office to verify his story and it was correct. This was suddenly real!
I pulled my hair out all weekend. There was nothing I could do! Nobody would talk to me. I did briefly talk to my ex-husband, but he stated in a glib fashion, “She is safe now, and that is all you need to know”. He would not tell me what was going on with my child!
On Monday morning, I waited until 9:30 AM and then called the caseworker. He told me he hadn’t “pulled out the file yet” and would call me right after he talked to my ex-husband. I called him back at 4:30 PM. He said that he had talked to my ex that morning and that there was an appointment set up to have an exam of my daughter for Thursday. That my ex was supposed to call me that morning and let me know that I could have visited my daughter with my ex “supervising”. My boyfriend was NOT allowed contact.
It was Wednesday before I could get in to see her! I saw her for about a half-hour. (I will go into the horrible conditions of this visit on the website).
They still have her and the situation has gotten worse! This is all because my ex-husband was angry over me not forgiving his court ordered child support! It isn’t like I was breaking the bank! I was only getting $309 per month! He warned me two days before all this started that if, “I didn’t sign the paper to forgive his back debt so he didn’t have to go to court”, he would, “Make me pay dearly”. He has done that, even though I thought is was just hype at the time.
