The Rich Jerk: a Marketing Odyssey - Part 4 - Man that was Easy!
Ok, so in my last article of this series, I sold the punch. I've already reviewed the Rich Jerk's ebook for you, and I've recently revealed that I'm going to use incentivized marketing to give away as many of those 97$ digital guidebooks as I can. This series in itself is a bit of a blue print on how to make money with one of those «freebie sites».
Here's what I've done so far. I looked around on the net for a hot product. You shouldn't have to look too far for a hot product because by definition it should be getting a lot of attention (if you can spot a hot product before it actually becomes hot, please tell me how and I'll make even more money). I found my hot product on the cyber lips of just about every internet marketer that isn't too self-imbued to talk about someone else's work. It's called «Making money on the Internet is Easy» and was written somewhat anonymously by a self-titled Rich Jerk.
I bought the Rich Jerk's ebook for $97 and read it 5 times. If the product hadn't been up to par, I would have dropped it then and there because your reputation is the most important thing you can have online and will keep you making money time after time until you squander it by recommending something that isn't worth it to your readers.
Since it was up to par, I had everything needed to take it to the next level.
What I did next was purchase a license for Projekt-IRS, the best incentive site script found on the market at www.myeasyscripts.com. I only had to put up $40 for an extra license because I have already bought the script once (it wasn't expensive).
So this gets me to the stage where I'm building another website. This time however, I'm adding a special twist. You see, Myeasyscripts brags about how easy it is to build a freebie site with their software and
I also brag to my customers that its extremely easy to build one of these sites with that software. So I went all out and gave my designers the day off. I decided to build that site myself using only the script I got and the instruction manual that came with it.
I had never made a single design before, nor had I written a line of code, and you know what? I was right and so were the folks from myeasyscripts: Man that was Easy! I impressed myself... Its not quite done yet but you'll get to see it soon enough. And yes, I built it all myself. No designer, no programmer, no help, just a 3 page instruction manual and a cup or two of premium Columbian coffee.
For the site to be complete, I needed texts. I happily applied the techniques the Rich Jerk recommends for writing a sales letter and 2 hours later, after adding to the letter my review of the Rich Jerk, the text for my main page was ready. I also made a custom FAQ sheet based on what questions I thought would arise from my users and I quickly put together a section for affiliates. A few terms and conditions and a privacy policy later, I was done.
The script truly is ready and easy to use, basically you just need to make a couple of changes to give it the personality you want, ad your texts and voila.
Now I need to finalize the changes on the site and make sure it's all working right and proper. Next, I'm going to brainstorm some ads, make a banner, ad my sponsored offers (found at any decent affiliate network) and we'll have lift off. Don't forget to come back for the next exciting episode of The Rich Jerk: a Marketing Odyssey. About the Author
