WEEK 8 PICKS
WASHINGTON REDSKINS @ NY GIANTS Su Oct 30 - 1:00 pm EST/17:00 GMT Last week we cashed in with Denver (+1.5) in their NY win, but don't feel as if the Redskins will offer as much of a challenge this week, so we'll be playing the Giants giving up a short number (-2.0). The importance of home advantage should not be underestimated, and the G-men are 4-0 (3-1 ATS) in front of their home fans this season. They also took the same fixture last season, easily covering the number, and that trend will continue this week. Since getting off to a 3-0 start, Washington has now lost two out of three, and are allowing 22-points per game in the process.
Pick: NY Giants (-2.0) @ 10/11
ARIZONA CARDINALS @ DALLAS COWBOYS Su Oct 30 - 1:00 pm EST/17:00 GMT. We've already seen plenty of interest in the Cowboys this week at an opening line of 7.5 (now 9.5). That line may be slightly inflated now, but we can still 'get in the game' by playing the "under".
Dallas is allowing just 12.3 points at home, and has held their last three opponents - Eagles, Giants and Seahawks - to a combined 36 points. Those teams' offences rank first, fifth and 12th respectively, and the Cardinals offence isn't nearly as good. Their defense, however, can be respectable, and they look capable of keeping the scoring low this week, especially as the Dallas offence has some key injuries.
Pick: Arizona @ Dallas Under 40.0 points @ 10/11

Cincinnati (-9.0) are strongly fancied to bounce back against a poor Packers side. San Diego (-6.0) has a great chance to atone for some unlucky defeats. Houston (-2.0) will see this as their best chance to win a game all season. Tennessee (+1.5) - need this game badly and will get it in a big way.
All teams are currently priced at 10/11, and a $50 parlay pays out $730.59 - which includes bonus of 10% - bet it or play it live.

Washington at New York Giants (Sunday, 1.00 EST) - FOX. Giants Stadium will be the venue Sunday as Washington travels to take on New York. The Giants are unbeaten at home this year, and fans will be hoping Eli Manning can continue inspiring his offense. Manning led the Giants over Denver Sunday, recovering from a 23-10 deficit to come out on top 24-23. Washington had way too much firepower for San Francisco last week, and the 52-17 scoreline will have Mark Brunell and his men confident of ending the Giants unbeaten home streak.
Pick: Manning to deliver home victory for the Giants.
Kansas City at San Diego (Sunday, 4.05 EST) - CBS Although San Diego stands 2 games behind Denver in the AFC West, its 3-4 record is hardly a reflection of how the Chargers have played. All four losses have been in extremely close games - Dallas by 4, Denver 3, Pittsburgh 2 and Philadelphia 3. Last week's loss to the Eagles will be one to forget for the Chargers, as they led going into the final 3 minutes of the game. The Chiefs are one game ahead of its division rival, and travel to Qualcomm Stadium aiming to extend a 2 game streak. Victories over Washington and Miami have Kansas in second place in the AFC West. Pick: San Diego to get back to winning ways.
Buffalo at New England (Sunday, 8.30 EST) - ESPN Although the Patriots have already lost as many games this year as in their last two victorious seasons, they still hold onto top spot in the AFC East. But Buffalo will overhaul them if they leave Gillette Stadium with a victory Sunday night. New England is coming off a rest week, and linebacker Tedy Bruschi may be back from an eight month absence to lift
the injury plagued Patriots. Buffalo will want to recover from a poor showing last Sunday when the Bills lost 38-17 to Oakland. Averaging just 16 points per game, the Bills need an offensive improvement to have any chance against Tom Brady and his experienced Patriots.
Pick: New England, currently -9, to cover.
Baltimore at Pittsburgh (Monday, 9.00 EST) - ABC The Steelers will look to QB Ben Roethlisberger to take them past Baltimore in Monday night's game. The Steelers post a 4-2 season record, and sit in second spot in the AFC North, one behind Cincinnati. But the Steelers have momentum coming off a 27-13 victory over the Bengals. The Ravens come to Pittsburgh missing key defensive players Ed Reed and Ray Lewis, and Anthony Wright at QB needs a big game to inspire a team that is averaging just over 11 points per game.
Pick: Baltimore is currently getting 10 points, and will cover.
College Football (NCAAF) free picks!
Oklahoma at Nebraska (Saturday, 12.00 EST) - ABC Nebraska will want to rebound from last weekend's 41-24 loss at Missouri. The Cornhuskers started the season off with a 4-0 record, but having lost two of the last three, Nebraska sits in third spot in the Big 12 North, one game behind Missouri and Colorado. The Sooners have won their last two - Kansas 19-3 and Baylor 37-30, to remain one game away from Texas in the Big 12 South. Oklahoma will want QB Rhett Bomar to show more consistency after a few under par performances.
Pick: Home advantage to swing things in Nebraska's favor.
Georgia at Florida (Saturday, 3.30 EST) - CBS It's first against second in the SEC East as the Bulldogs, without injured QB DJ Shockley, aim to clinch a spot in the SEC championship game when they travel to Florida to play their conference rivals. Currently at 7-0, and holding a two game lead over the Gators (5-2), the Bulldogs offense will be led by Joe Tereshinski, who will replace Shockley. After winnings its first four, the Gators have lost 2 of its last three, including a close 21-17 defeat at LSU. Coming off a bye week, Florida will be well rested and will be all out to keep its unbeaten home record intact and stay in touch with the unbeaten Bulldogs.
Pick: Georgia to shade a close game.
Michigan at Northwestern (Saturday, 7pm EST) - ESPN The Wildcats feel they have a few surprises in store this year for Michigan. QB star Brett Basanez is leading the 'Cats to a 37 point average offense this year, with only a comeback loss against Penn State blotting this year's winning stats. Northwestern are not used to playing at this altitude and the Wolverines will be looking to put them back down where they came from. Despite Basanez's 42 rushing yards per game keeping the opposing defense honest, coach Randy Walker says "We'll throw it every down". Well they say fortune favors the brave, but that's mighty big talk against a program the caliber of Michigan. Of course, this year the Big Ten has already delivered quite a few surprises.
Pick: at only -3 it's hard to bet against the Wolverines.
South Carolina at Tennessee (Saturday, 7.45 EST) - ESPN. The Tennessee Volunteers will aim to put the loss of Gerald Riggs behind them, as they take on South Carolina at Neyland Stadium. Riggs will miss the rest of the season after suffering leg and ankle injuries in last weekend's game against Alabama. Tennessee has lost two consecutive games to the Crimson Tide and Georgia where it has been dogged by offensive inconsistencies. South Carolina has rebounded well from a 48-7 mauling inflicted by Auburn to take its last two games. With an overall 4-3 record and at 2-3 in the SEC East, the Gamecocks sit above Tennessee in the standings and will look to snap a 12 game losing sequence against the Volunteers.
Pick: South Carolina is currently at +13.5. The Gamecocks to cover.
