Don't Get In Over Your Head!
Please be careful and thoughtful if you are considering a loan
to finance your wedding. At this time in your life, sentiment
and emotion run high. Nothing else seems more important. It is
so easy to get caught up in the "spare-no-expense,
once-in-a-lifetime" mentality. Getting a wedding loan may seem
like a good idea but this kind of thinking can lead to a
"pay-for-a-lifetime" headache!
While it is true that weddings are a "multi-million dollar
business", it is not necessary for you to lose your shirt
contributing to the cause. It is said that the average wedding
budget ranges from $17,000 to $35,000 depending on your
location. Wow! Do you really want to start married life out in
debt with nothing more to show for it than a dress you will
never wear again and a steep monthly loan payment?
Financial debt is one of the major causes of failed
relationships. Couples become understandably stressed and fight
more due to the financial burdens they acquire. Unfortunately,
this often leads to their separation and eventual divorce.
Don't fall into this trap. If you can afford a fancy affair
without getting a wedding loan, by all means, go for it. If
however, your
financial resources are limited, create a firm
wedding budget to guide you and stick to it! There are any
number of ways to cut your wedding expenses. Save your money for
more important things like your first home or your first child!
Remember...
The beauty and sentiment of your wedding day is not
proportionate to how much you spend on it! The day is about
love, family and close friends, not how much it cost!
