Dealing with the backdrop of fear and confusion.
We are at war. Weather you are for it or against it, it is now a horse that can’t be put back in the barn. With it comes hopelessness, helplessness and the ever-bounding mysteries of life and mind.
We are at war. Weather you are for it or against it, it is now a horse that can’t be put back in the barn. With it comes hopelessness, helplessness and the ever-bounding mysteries of life and mind. As each hour goes by, more and more vivid descriptions and scenes packed with incident will be shown to us though our television sets. Some people will wear their telltale hearts of desperation, fear, grief, and anger on their sleeves while others will ride great waves of optimism and pessimism quietly. There will be times of mooncalf optimism, radical ideas, tough mindedness, and quick and darting critical attitudes alternating with mass acceptance.
What can we do? The advice I give to myself is the following. Stay connected with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Make real connections and enter into with real conversations. Conversations meant to help each other shelter the uncertainty and help refocus the energy into a positive flow. If you have a yearning desire to do something, volunteer to help someone less fortunate. Volunteer to share your thoughts, volunteer to help the elderly or the ill, find your niche and arduously make a difference in someone’s life. Each and every time you make a positive result oriented difference you will receive an unfolding surprise. A surprise filled with an
expanded wonderment of what amazing results a simple jester can provide for your fellow human being. Volunteering offers an exceptional positive way to disconnect from the distractions of the world. Donating the most precious commodity you have which is your time becomes an irresistible force of love. Sharing your hearts kindness is like a therapeutic cocktail giving you a magical overhaul.
As missiles soar, my heart and prayers are with our brave men and women who are fighting the fight and the innocents affected by the war. Grief is rampant. Families dealing with the absence of loved ones. Loved ones not being able to communicate with their families. Loved ones not knowing if they will return to the warm steady embrace of their family and family’s fearing the same. This is not a time for sea-level humanity. This is a time to dispense helpful advice such as all that you find on this site. This is a time to be an inspiration to others as well as to be inspired by others. This is a time to espouse a potent fury to live while doing the utmost to spark others to do the same.
