"Achiever's Interview with Joe Rossini"
In this continuing series of Achievers' Interviews you will meet some of the most dynamic people on the internet. This week we feature Joe Rossini of eHappyLife.com.
This week's Motivation & Self Esteem For Success "Achiever's Interview" is with Joe Rossini of Brigantine, New Jersey, USA. Joe's website is eHappyLife.com.
Gary Simpson - Hello Joe. I can't tell you how delighted I am to be interviewing you today. We know each other so well and we are such great friends, so let's kick this straight off. Could you tell our readers a little bit about your www.eHappyLife.com website, its principal aim and what you hope to achieve with it?
Joe Rossini - Sure Gary. I have designed my website so that I could unconditionally share with other caring individuals, the wisdom I have accumulated during my 53 years on this planet. I have many members from around the globe and have a vision of building an incredible network of knowledgeable, caring individuals.
Gary Simpson - Joe, I always ask this next question of my guests because I think it is so important for us to know what drives the websites we feature. It gives website owners an opportunity to tell our readers just exactly what makes their website so special. Having made this big lead up to the question, what do you think is different about your website that makes it so special?
Joe Rossini - I believe that www.eHappyLife.com website is unique because it is a labor of love as opposed to a commercially motivated site. I have no advertisers, sell no products and have no hidden agendas. I just want to help others reach their goals and enjoy life to the fullest.
Gary Simpson - That is very refreshing in this money hungry, greed-driven cyber-world. In other words, what you see is what you get! I often joke with you, Joe, that your website is like a "mini-city." It is a massive collection of simply the most fascinating material on so many of life's positive elements. I'll speak more about this in my closing comments. For now, on a personal note, what do you consider to be your "crowning" achievement to date?
Joe Rossini - I sincerely believe that all of my many business and personal achievements have been assisted by one major achievement - to be able to nurture a fantastic loving relationship for three decades with my best friend and partner – my wife Marysia.
Gary Simpson - That was a truly inspiring answer and one that many people would not expect, especially given the fact that marriage break-ups are so prevalent these days. That really is a wonderful achievement, Joe, and I congratulate you both on it. At this point I usually ask how long it took to achieve that goal but in this case perhaps I...
Joe Rossini - ... I don't mind saying. Thirty wonderful years and counting.
Gary Simpson - Excellent. Thanks for sharing that. I know it's kind of personal. Let's just change track for a moment. What is the greatest difficulty you have ever had to overcome?
Joe Rossini – My difficulties were no different than those faced by most people who are conscientious and caring. They would include balancing work and family life, dealing with stress from incredible business responsibilities and nurturing children.
Gary Simpson - I know how conscientious and fastidious you are Joe. I can attest to that first hand. Rarely do I meet people with the sincerity and tremendous code of ethics that you possess. It really shines through in everything you do. What are three personal attributes you possess that help you to win?
Joe Rossini - Thanks Gary. I would have to say my personal strengths are excellent time management and planning skills, being able to focus on my top priorities until completed, and being straightforward, honest and trustworthy.
Gary Simpson - Now, I also know from our many telephone conversations and regular emails (and from the massive collection of audio and book summaries on your website) that you are a voracious reader. Perhaps you might like to share with our own readers here the extent to which you go to educate yourself in the things that matter to you most. What sort of books do you read?
Joe Rossini - I always listen to books on cassettes or CD’s before purchasing a book. Primarily they are business and leadership related. I also enjoy biographies. I have 2,300 audio-tapes and CD’s in my library. If I am thrilled with the content of the
audio book, I will then buy the printed book to read and study. In the last two weeks I listened to “Less Is More: How Great Companies Use Productivity as a Competitive Tool in Business" by Jason Jennings and "Love Is the Killer App: How to Win Business and Influence Friends" by Tim Sanders. I would recommend both.
Gary Simpson - And I thought I was a big reader. Ha! You leave me in your wake Joe. That is a truly massive collection of material. (Just as a side-note, Joe rates many of these works on his website. There are some very valuable audio tape and book reviews there for those wanting to know where to start.) Do you have a favorite quote or saying and what is it?
Joe Rossini - Yes. It's one that my mother taught me as a child: “Once a task has begun, never leave it till it’s done. Be it a task great or small, do it well or not at all.”
Gary Simpson - That is an excellent little poem. It's obvious to me that you have adopted its sentiments throughout your life. Let's change the subject again. What, if any, is one thing about the internet that annoys you the most?
Joe Rossini - Spam. Especially of the vulgar nature. I find it despicable - an invasion of my privacy sent by people with no morals.
Gary Simpson - Yes. I particularly detest the really sneaky stuff that says: "Your invoice is overdue" or even worse: "Can you help me?" Then, when you open the email to see what it is you get hit right between the eyes with the most offensive material. The material itself is bad enough but the method of delivery is downright dishonest and fraudulent. Enough of the bad stuff, what, in your opinion Joe, is the most advantageous feature of the internet?
Joe Rossini - Having the largest library of knowledge to research and study at my fingertips.
Gary Simpson - Yeah. It can be a stupendous learning library - if you can discern the difference between truth and the absolute junk that some people choose to put there that is designed deliberately to mislead and misinform. Let's turn our attention to something more interesting. What project or projects are you currently working on Joe? Joe Rossini – At the moment I am enjoying my private consulting practice, where I help corporations and individuals achieve their goals and dreams. I teach proven methods that I have practiced and perfected to “Help My Clients Get Exactly Where They Want To Go.”
Gary Simpson - I know how much you value being able to do that Joe. I also know from our previous discussions, that you keep strict limits on the time you devote to this practice so that you can enjoy lots of quality time with your wife and family. That speaks volumes for the quality of life you have designed for yourself. Is there anything else you would like to say or add to the interview?
Joe Rossini - I would just like to tell the readers of this interview that the moderator – Gary Simpson, is an incredible, caring individual. The internet has enabled me to become a dedicated cyber-friend of Gary, who resides 13 time zones away from my hometown. We speak to each other often and have shared unconditionally with each other.
Gary Simpson - I'll slip you that fifty bucks later for saying that Joe. Only joking! That was really wonderful of you to make that comment. It was totally unexpected and I thank you. I guess, like you, I am just doing the best I can to help people with the information that I have studied and learned over the years. Our readers should visit the www.eHappyLife.com website. It is a fantastic site that will keep you mesmerized for hours. Joe runs a "word of the day" with weekly weekend tests, weekly opinion polls and commentaries, audio and book reviews, concert and restaurant reviews and special sections on all parts of leading a happy life. He has also designed the most amazing US and Canadian Restaurant Website Directory that you will ever see. You cannot help but be impressed with what you will find on Joe Rossini's website. It is almost as impressive as the man himself! I really am proud to call him a friend. Thanks, Joe, for participating in this enlightening interview.
