Be A Success In Sixty Seconds
Can you become a success in Sixty Seconds? If you stick with me
you can.
Success is based on the actions you take isn't it? Well, your
thoughts control your actions and your actions control your
outcome. Sixty Seconds To Success is all about helping you have
the thoughts that will lead to the actions and outcomes you want
in order to be successful.
We only see what we are looking for. One of the keys to being a
success if keeping an open and positive attitude, so you can
spot good opportunities when they come along. On the other hand
if you have a negative, closed attitude, you won't see the
opportunities right in front of you. I want you to make sure you
work to keep a positive attitude and look on the bright side of
everything that comes your way.
Lets look at some of the ways you can help yourself stay
positive.
The language you use can have a huge effect on your attitude.
Here are some of the ways we can use language to help us along.
Say "I am going to find out", not "I don't know". Saying, "I am
going to find out", does a lot of good things for you. Instead
of ending your work on something, it propels you ahead, you are
still working on it, you are headed in a positive direction, it
gives you confidence and shows the others around you, that you
are still in the game.
Here is another one to use. Say "Next Time I am going to do xyz"
when you are discussing something that didn't turn out the way
you wanted. This is better than saying "if only I had done xyz".
Saying "Next Time" shows that you have learned your lesson and
that you are ready to move ahead in a positive direction and
keep the project moving.
I want you to be your own fortuneteller and predict good things
for yourself. Fortunetellers are able to predict the future for
people using a very simple trick. Fortunetellers talk to their
client and very quickly determine if the client is positive or
negative. If the client is positive, they predict positive
events for them, if the client is negative, they predict
negative events for them. Fortunetellers know that a person's
attitude has tremendous effect on how that person's life turns
out, and we need to learn that to.
One last point on keeping a positive attitude. Many of us are
god at "selling" other people our ideas. Some times we are too
good. We convince ourselves, we can't do something, and we stay
"sold" for the rest of our lives. We go through life convinced
we are bad at math, we can't speak well, and so on. I want you
to do one thing for me today, and that is to think of one thing
you tell yourself, that you can't do. I want you to remember who
told you, you couldn't do it, chances are it was you, and
chances are it was long ago. Well
time has past, you are a
different person than you were then, and you have grown,
developed new skills, etc. I want you to seriously relook at
what you told yourself you couldn't do and give yourself another
chance. Chances are you will be amazed at what you can do now.
Remember, you can only hold one thought in your mind at a time.
So make that one thought positive and your life will move ahead.
Now lets talk about the importance of preparing to win. Notice I
said preparing to win, not winning. Having the will to prepare
to win is more important than having the will to win. Almost
everything in life is won on the basis of how prepared you were
for the event. In sports, the best players practice over and
over. They do all the physical and mental steps needed to make
them better prepared than their opponent. The same holds true in
business or our personal lives, the better we are prepared for
something the better the outcome. I want you to commit to being
the best-prepared person in your field. I want you to know
everything there is to know about you, your company, your
products, your competition, the customer, and so on. Preparing
eliminates most of the negative surprises in life, and insures
most of the positive surprises in life. Have the will to prepare
and then use it.
Do you notice that companies are constantly coming out with new
and improved versions of their products? Well it is time for a
new and improved version of you. It is time to reinvent yourself
and make yourself different and better and just what the market
wants right now. What does the "market" want in terms of
education you should have, what kind of experience is the
"market" looking for? What traits does the world need, that you
can develop? Remember the world is changing every day, and if
you are not changing at least at the speed the world is
changing, you are falling behind. So start to work right now and
lets see the new and improved version of you.
Remember none of the things presented here today, mean a thing
unless you take action right now. Pick one of the things
presented here and put it into effect in the next minute, I mean
it, in the next minute. Don't think about it, do it. Make a
habit of doing something and thinking about it later. You will
have time to think about it while you are depositing that nice
check that you earned TAKING ACTION.
OK till next time, put this material into effect, and every
moment will be a Bright Moment.
