Busy Fish: Tips for Changing Your Day from Chaos to Calm
Syndicated columnist Dale Dauten recently wrote, One of lifes great joys that weve lost is that of the empty day, a day given over to quiet, to reading and contemplation. Our planners and PDAs give the illusion of importance and of being in...
Exploring the "Should's": Is it Necessity, Desire, or Guilt?
How many times a day do you find yourself using the word "should"? ADDers are full of "should's": I should do the dishes, I should clean out the fridge, I should see that movie, I should call my friend, etc. The word "should" can be very dangerous...
Q-Tip It!
Back in the 1920’s when Polish-American entrepreneur Leo Gerstenzang invented cotton swabs as a safer way to clean his baby’s ears, he called his product “Q-Tip.” Actually, his first name-choice was “Baby Gay” – but that didn’t sell, so the by-now...
Stress Prevention in a Word - "No"
We teach our pets the meaning of the word. We quickly learned its meaning as toddlers when we reached for mommy or daddy's car keys. Even an anti-drug campaign was built around the word. Yet, now that we're older, wiser and more responsible, the...

Until You've Walked the Path!
From the depths of despair to the heights of hope. That is the inspiring journey traveled by author Paul Shearstone in his new book Until You've Walked The Path.
Shearstone, a successful businessman, author and international keynote speaker, fought desperately to find balance and understanding as his life collapsed around him in the early '90s. Stricken suddenly with a mysterious ailment known then as the Yuppie Flu, Shearstone battled to keep him and his family functioning even as he endured the physical pain and depression of an illness that has since been diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome [CFIDS].
In the end, it was Shearstone's enduring optimism and strikingly positive attitude that helped him and his family, overcome the debilitating disease. Shearstone has written this book in hope that other sufferers or caregivers will benefit from his experiences.
Recent AMA and CMA studies purport, one in four North Americans are suffering from some form of chronic fatigue or depression. Many will never be properly diagnosed and sadly, many of them will never recover.
Until You've Walked The Path is a no-nonsense, real-life account of
one man's recovery from an insidious disease. It is also a courageous book, a very personal tale of suffering, despair and, ultimately, enlightenment. This book, by Paul Shearstone, stands as a beacon of hope, lighting the path to recovery, triumph and happiness.
