Mind Power for the Entrepreneur
Copyright 2005 Jugglingmum
Such a magnificent and powerful thing as the human mind should guarantee happiness, contentment and success yet all around us we find people that do not apply the wisdom of their mind.
To convert wisdom into mind power requires reorganisation of the thinking process and can almost guarantee success to those prepared to put in some effort. Your efforts will richly reward you!
You can learn fresh new ways to apply your mind power to gain more happiness, love, peace, and contentment - an abundance of all that you wish for.
Are you willing to empty your mind of all that is old and open it to all that is new?
Many people in the Eastern world are able to achieve incredible feats using the power of their minds.
Techniques are used such as training the subconscious through meditation and visualisation. We, in the Western world, are only now starting to catch up with these ideas of mind power.
The conscious mind is constantly in use in our daily activities and when it becomes overstretched we become tired and unable to recall, store or learn more information. If you are suffering from this kind of problem then your life is simply not under your control and therefore you are unable to enjoy life as you would like.
At the centre of the conscious mind is the ego and the ego accepts anything and everything without thinking or questioning. As many of you are already aware, the ego needs boosting as often as possible.
Let’s look at an example:-
1. Mr Smith earns a salary of 25,000USD and invites a lady friend to dinner in a smart restaurant. He doesn't bother to book a table as he's visited the restaurant many times before and knows that it's not usually busy on a Wednesday evening. He dresses smart but casual and is driving his 5 year old car.
2. Mr Brown also earns a salary of 25,000USD and has invited a lady friend to the same restaurant at the same time on the same day. However, Mr Brown is wearing a dinner suit and has hired a top of the range car especially for the occasion.
Imagine that both Mr Smith and Mr Brown arrive at the restaurant at the same time only to find it much busier than usual. There is one table close to the kitchen entrance and one in a cosy alcove overlooking the sea. Who do you think will get the best table?
Not only was Mr Brown's ego boosted by how he was dressed and arrived but the restaurant staff had their egos boosted by his appearance and apparent good taste.
This is mind power working at its best - simply be who you wish to be or act as you wish to act. Your mind doesn't differentiate between the fact that you hired a dinner suit and a car, it only knows how good you feel wearing the dinner suit and driving that top of the range car!
Dress like a king (or queen) and act like a king and you'll feel like a king and even be treat like a king - it's simple.
The unconscious mind is where all the reasons for your fears and hang ups are stored. Are your fears related to childhood experiences or even recent experiences? Are you encouraged and complimented often or chastised and told that you must do better?
Write down your fears and analyse where they came from. By taking this simple step you will be getting to know yourself better and will be better able to confront those fears. When a child falls from a
bicycle they are often told to get back on as soon as possible and you must confront your own fears in the same way.
Anyone who is prepared to take the necessary time to strengthen themselves by confronting their fears is guaranteed a clear path to mind power.
The subconscious mind is analytical. It creates, computes, plots, plans and NEVER makes a mistake! It is this part of the mind that we use least but rely on most. The subconscious mind knows your desire and when it receives the relevant information it organises them into a plan to enable your to reach whatever that desire happens to be. When it has finished computing the information it brings the results to your conscious mind by way of an idea.
Do you feed negative thoughts and images into your subconscious mind? Thoughts of fear and failure?
Thoughts of not having enough? Your subconscious will loyally compute this information to bring you what you're focusing on. If you feed it thoughts of happiness, success and abundance then it will loyally compute this information to bring you what you are focusing on.
Your subconscious mind gives you exactly what you ask for so be very careful what you think!
Practice rehearsing the future as you would like it to be. See your desires and goals clearly. Cut pictures from magazines and place them where you can see them often. Now add emotion and feeling to the visualisation you've created - how does it feel to be living the life of your dreams?
Your subconscious mind can only work with the data it has available just like a computer. Feed your subconscious with images and feelings surrounding your desires and let it work with that data to produce the outcome. Don't concentrate on how you'll achieve your desire - leave that to your subconscious but be alert for any little nudges that life may present you with.
Do you have a problem that needs dealing with right now? Write it out on paper in as much detail as possible then write as many solutions to the problem as you can - include every solution no matter how unlikely you think it may be. Now look at those solutions again and eliminate those that will not produce a solution. Repeat the process until you have a small number of solutions remaining and then hand it over to your subconscious to work on.
As you hand the problem over tell your subconscious what you're doing. Use a simple phrase such as "I'm now handing this over to my subconscious to find a solution". Now forget the problem and let your subconscious get to work for you. If thoughts of the problem resurface surround them with a speech bubble, acknowledge the bubble and let it pop. Soon enough a solution to your problem will present itself as an idea -maybe like a light bulb flashing on in your mind with the thought "why didn't I think of that".
